News - Knowing how you all love a bit of superhero news (judging by the reaction the 'top ten' received) I couldn't let the latest issue of X-Factor go by without telling you guys all about it!

Nation X: X Factor #1 sees the NYC based X-men journey to the West Coast to join the remaining X-men who have created a new island home. Utopia is meant to be a mutant sanctuary where they can live without prejudice, but that doesn't mean they'll live in peace.

But the real reason I'm bringing you this story is because it features new gay couple on the block Shatterstar and Rictor (or Ricstar as they are known to people who say things like Brangelina) meeting old flames and potential new ones.

This includes the most famous gay of superhero gays Northstar. Rictor seems continually jealous of Shatterstar, but he needn't worry because he's not Northstar's type anyway - shattering those long held illusions that all gay characters must fancy each other - and anyway, they both have "star" in their name, it would be confusing.

Rictor might have to worry that his ex-girlfriend gives him the cold shoulder and is more interested in his newly sexualised boyfriend. And then there's a possibly closeted Iceman to consider!

It's nice to see that Marvel doesn't mind throwing in an unstable gay couple. It shows they're not too worried about being politically correct, as some would argue about the idealistic young coupling of Hulkling and Wiccan. All the signs show that this relationship is set to be tempestuous.
