One of our favorite web series is the supremely silly The Variants, a gay-flavored sitcom about the employees of a Dallas comic book shop. (You don't have to be a hard-core comics nerd to get all the jokes, but, admittedly, it helps.)
The show stars and was co-created by Richard Neal, the Eisner-winning owner of Dallas' Zeus Comics, where The Variants is filmed. (Not before a live studio audience.) Zeus has always made it a point to reach out to local queer comics fans, and now this popular web series is aimed at gays, geeks, and gay geeks alike.
Catch a new episode of The Variants the first Wednesday of each month, and check out episode six after the jump.

It's a really funny series and it takes place in one of the best and cleanest comic shops in town.
